HISTORY...
The factory was first started in the late 1950s, when a small, family-owned company started Breaker Confections in Chicago. in 1965, Sunmark Companies purchased Breaker Confections. The name was changed to Willy Wonka Brands in 1980, and to Willy Wonka Candy Factory in 1993. In 1988, the Sunmark Companies became part of NESTLÉ.
The name Willy Wonka came from the well-know book about Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Charlie and the Glass Elevator also inspried the name. In 1971, the film Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory was invented.
The Willy Wonka Candy Factory produces some of the most fun, innovative, high quality candies in the world. Willy Wonka's "scrumdidlyuptious" candy which was inspired by the famous books and movie, is unsurpassed in appearance, flavor and packaging. It provides a deliciously different eating experience that sparks the imagination in kids of all ages.
TODAY...
Right now, Willy Wonka Candy Factory is working on introducing new candy, and making old ones better. This has been its goal all along, of course. It continues to make some of the best candy in the world. The movie is by far one of the best about a candy factory in the world. It, along with the candy, helps inspire kids to be creative and dream up new worlds. All of Willy Wonka helps kids have more imagination and to let them be kids longer. Willy Wonka Candy can be enjoyed by kids and adults alike, and it comes in an array of flavours and shapes and sizes.
